The big picture

How we did it

Mi:Skn is a clinical skin health practice in Perth. Not a spa. Not a beauty chain.

A founder-led clinic where every treatment plan starts with a proper consultation and ends with real, measurable results. The expertise was never the problem.

The problem was: the paid strategy was narrow, one condition, one channel, one audience, while competitors with bigger budgets and weaker services dominated the top of Google. Every click cost more than it should, and there was no system to bring people back after the first visit.

Mi:Skn had the clinical depth to treat acne, dermatitis, eczema, psoriasis, skin tags and more. They had AviClear, the only non-medical laser acne solution in WA. They had an entire male market no one in Perth was speaking to.

None of it was showing up where people search.

The challenge wasn't the service. It was visibility, efficiency and demand, all at once.

The brief

Barefoot rebuilt the clinic's paid strategy around how a treatment business actually grows: capture every condition people search for, build a name they come looking for, and make every dollar work harder.

→ We expanded Google Search far beyond acne into a full condition portfolio: dermatitis, eczema, psoriasis, skin tags, milia and teenage acne, plus dedicated male-targeted campaigns, capturing high-intent demand the clinic was previously missing.

→ We launched the clinic's first ever Meta presence, an AviClear video funnel built on testimonial, technology and results angles, to drive awareness and feed warm demand back into search.

→ We drove down the cost of every click through weekly negative keyword work, continuous bid and budget management, and relentless ad copy testing.

→ We built a Klaviyo email engine with welcome and retention flows to convert new enquiries and bring past clients back.

→ We rebuilt landing pages and added conversion-focused sections to turn more clicks into booked consults.

The work

The outcome

→ Revenue grew by 20% within four months, going from $83,589 to a record $110,399, the clinic's strongest month on record and ahead of the prior year.

→ Cost per click fell 42%, from $3.07 to $1.78, while spend and booking volume both scaled. The following month it dropped again to $1.32, a 57% reduction overall.

→ The Google searches for the clinic's name (branded terms) grew 1.004% compared to the previous year. The work shifted from renting attention to building a name people search for on their own.

→ The clinic secured the highest top-of-page ad visibility in Perth against named local competitors.

→ Momentum kept building: appointments climbed to a high of 94 with 99 new customers in the following month, at the lowest cost per click of the entire engagement.
